Kogarah Wetlands

Hi Birders,
As I recall, much of the Kogarah Golf Course in southern Sydney NSW, was once a wetland that was largely reclaimed. Filling wetlands to create golf courses has been a pre-occupation of local councils over many decades.
 
Terrill, I would contact the Fisheries Dept to find out what they know about the proposal because Fisheries would have to give consent first for reclaimation of areas below Mean High Water. It would help if some species, scheduled under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 as either "Endangered" or "Vulnerable" has been observed to use the site.
