Another communication: Yes Kurt, I did see the t.v.production of The History of Britain, and yes I'm sure it was a Harris's Hawk. Certainly out of context as far as being seen in medieval Britain !  Next question - as this was a British production was all of it filmed in Britain? Poses a rather awkward question  --  ARE FALCONERS ALLOWED TO IMPORT BIRDS OF PREY INTO BRITAIN ? They are certainly very "hot" on the export of any species of bird from the U.K.. Perhaps it's just me and this segment was filmed in the U.S. and "clipped" into the footage we saw  --  although you would have thought they could have had a few nice close up's of a Peregrine.
