Beware at Mitchell Park, north west of Sydney.
There's an olive-backed oriole along the creek that does an excellent
imitation of a crimson rosella. Had me completely fooled, looking
desperately in all the trees to show this crimson and blue beauty to
overseas visitors.
Watched in amazement as crimson rosella calls emanated from the oriole's
throat.
Lorna Bloom.
