I have the usual Currawongs, Miners, Kookaburras, Silver Gulls begging food but at Wombeyan Caves, about 200 Km SW of Sydney, Satin Bowerbirds try to pinch the food from your table/hand. About 10 of both fully coloured males and green birds as close as 300 mm on the table, chairs and ground. They even chase off the Pied Currawongs. Yes, they did get some sandwich before I woke up that they were so bold. Cheers chris Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
