I saw about four Kookaburas while I was coming in. Interesting, I thought,
this far from all water (the very dirty water in the fountain in Victoria
Park and the far too clean water in the Swimming Pool excepted).No
Peregrines yet. My Willys are getting on well, although I almost always
only see one nowadays. A couple of more sightings of the "mystery bird" of
a couple of weeks ago confirmed that the bird was indeed a Red Wattlebird
(It showed me its wattle the other day too). And finally the magpies in
the neighbourhood are getting pretty good at imitating koels.
