G'day all There is a brilliant male Orange Chat on Griffith's Island, Port Fairy (south west Victoria) at the moment. Someone reported this to Rob Farnes of Heywood who verified it and I saw the bird yesterday. It was in a small bay a few hundred metres west of the lighthouse. This bay has a beach and a large rock wall protecting it from the ocean. The bird was feeding among the rocks on the western side of the beach and among sea-weed on the beach. White-fronted Chats were present but the Orange Chat seemed to be indifferent to them. What a beautiful bird!
