I did a bit of atlassing on the SE flanks of Maroon morning. Nothing particularly unusual, apart from a satin flycatcher seen from a lookout [also had some interesting little yellow rock orchids]. Coming back through Beaudesert, I stopped to atlas a dam on Porridge Pot Ck. It had several hundred [~300-500] plumed whistling ducks round the dam, which got me wondering, a) what is the largest ever congregation of PWDs recorded [presumably over a thousand] and b) what is the average flock size for PWDs [50-100?].
