g'day all,

Last Sunday I observed a single B-t N-h at the Burketown (NW Qld) sewage ponds. It no doubt had a mate still hiding in the reeds.

This location is slightly north of this birds' distribution as depicted in the various field guides.

I was returning home after a 6 days of wonderful birding at Kingfisher Camp on the Nicholson River (30km east of the NT border).

When I get a bit of time I'll post a note re other birds I observed outside their recognised territories.

Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
