The Willy Wagtail nest is on the tree in front of the physics building in
between the tennis court and the playground in front of Ralph's Cafe (AKA
Womens Sports Centre). One thing I noticed was that the two Willy Wagtails
(Why are they called Wagtails by the way?) that nested there were joined
by a couple more, in what looked like a contest for the nest. The birds
were chattering fiercely. Is this common behaviour? Please excuse my
enthusiasm: Excepting Superb Blue Wrens, these have got to be my favourite
common birds....
