RFI birding around Birdsville

It may be possible for me to go to on a work trip to Birdsville, but unfortunately it would be flying in flying out, no transport, and birding only in early morning and possbly evening.

Is there any native vegetation, or any birdy spots, within, say, 1km of the Pub at Birdsville?
