Hi all,

We saw our first Little Terns of the season this (Sunday) morning on the waterfront at Cairns, FNQld. We haven't exactly been haunting the area, so probably others have seen them earlier. It felt great to see them again.

Also noticed the other day a very young Casian Tern, same spot. I gather they are born during the winter in FNQ.

Saw Radjah Shelducks at Lake Mitchell yesterday. We didn't give them any particular attention, but read afterwards in Lloyd Neilson's book that they are considered rare in FNQ. We were more thrilled to see an Australian Pratincole, but gather they are not so uncommon here.
