Just a reminder that the "Birds for the Future" Symposium on
habitat conservation in NSW and the ACT will be held next week on October 6,
2001 at
Taronga Zoo Sydney. There are a few tickets left.
Guest speaker, Welsh ornithologist and presenter of the TV series "Birdman"
Iolo
Williams arrived in Sydney last Monday along with his BBC film crew. They
are currently touring Dubbo, Capertee and Newcastle filming Malleefowl,
wader habitat and our tree planting efforts for the Regent Honeyeater plus
talking with the local land holders, councillors and media.
Bird club members receive a significant discount on symposium tickets. The
symposium is a major event for the birding community and is not to be
missed.
Details of the meeting can be found at www.cboc.org.au/symposium.html . To
register your interest and receive a registration form send your name and

The symposium is presented by BIGnet and is a Birds Australia Centenary
