Hi All, Having been grounded by New Zealand terrorists masquerading as Ansett management we're off to see if we can see the Red-lored Whistler next long weekend, instead of the Abrolhos. However, the fundamental source of all relevant knowledge (after Thomas and Thomas of course), viz the Birding-aus Archives, is inaccessable on my computer tonight. Our proposed route is Round Hill N.R., Hattah-Kulkyne, and Big Billy Bore if all else fails. Mallee Emu-wren, a good look at a Malleefowl, and Hedley's form of Slender-billed Thornbill (? Pink Lakes) would make the trip even more worthwhile. Would very much appreciate any advice on finding these birds. Thanks Michael & Penny Hunter.
