Hi everyone, Back in the middle of August a piece about Peregrine Falcons nesting on a balcony of the Matson Plaza hotel in Cairns was posted. The latest update is that the birds now have three hungry chicks in the nest and featured on the front page of the Cairns Post last Saturday (8th). Congratulations to the hotel staff who have gone to the trouble and expense of closing off one of their most expensive rooms to accommodate the birds until they have left the nest. Cheers, Keith & Lindsay Fisher PO Box 2209 Cairns, (16°55' 40"S 145° 46' 35"E) Far North Queensland 4870 Australia Email Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
