Hi Birders,
Aaron Davies made enquiries about Striped Honeyeaters and Mangrove Gerygones on the Central Coast. I can confirm that Coon Island at Swansea, is a regular site for Mangrove Gerygone. They favour low mangroves and can be located by their typical gerygone descending call. Striped Honeyeaters are nesting on the Central Coast, one pair already on nest and 2 other pairs have nests under construction. If Aaron Davies gives me a telephone call I can arrange to meet him and show him the sites. (Tel 0243 891390).
