G'day all,

I have just returned from a week of atlassing in SW Qld.

LWK were seen roosting at various places and flocks of 80 - 90 birds were the average.
At one location (on a public road) LWK were recorded on 23/8 and were still there when I returned 30/8.

There are plenty of rodent trails to be seen leading into the cracks in the ground.

Other interesting (to me) birds recorded included.
Sharp-tailed Sandpipers (4)
Australian Spotted Crake (1)
Baillon's Crake (1)
Black-tailed Native-hen (2)
Australasian Shoveler (2)....a 1st for me !

Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
