A wet and dismal Sunday didn't deter me from heading to the south west slopes and checking out several areas of flowering White Box Woodland in Young and Boorowa Shires. I have listed the most interesting species (numbers seen in brackets) for each area below. Gunnary: Swift Parrot (12), Little Friarbird (5), Brown Treecreeper (2), Little Corella (14). This brings to 8 the number of parrot/cockatoo species I have recorded for this small stock reserve. Monteagle: Superb Parrot (2) Narallan: Superb Parrot (8), Brown Treecreeper (1) Another pair of Superb Parrots seen at Langs Creek as well.
