I remember seeing Common Mynas (definitely not Noisy Miners) around Woden
when I worked at the Patents Office between 1988-90. The McComas-Taylor
"Birds of the ACT" says between 1968-71 110 mynas were released
intentionally
in the suburb of Forrest (dress circle for Canberraites as I recall).
