While not as common as Ringneck parrots, the Alexandrine is still
present in Australia in the 10's of thousands, with many in the
Toowoomba area. It is commonly kept both in aviculture and as a pet
bird. The description supplied exactly fitted that of the Alexandrine
Parrot - undoubtedly an escaped aviary or pet bird.
