They're probably easier at this time of year actually, but only if you don't
mind seeing brown birds on their wintering sites. There are a couple of
places in suburban Geelong (rose garden inside front gates of Geelong
Botanic Gardens; Stan Lewis Walk about 200m downstream from Queens Park
Bridge on the west bank of the Barwon River). The rose gardens at Werribee
Park mansion have been mentioned on this list too.
