Greetings from Cape Town,

We have received a number of responses so far on the latest mystery raptor.
However, there seems to be no consensus yet as to what exactly it is, other
than it being a Circaetus sp.. The suggestions received so far have been:

Brown Snake Eagle - Circaetus cinereus
Western Banded Snake Eagle - Circaetus cinerascens
Black-breasted Snake Eagle - Circaetus pectoralis
Short-toed Eagle - Circaetus gallicus

Perhaps it's not as straightforward as what people are assuming? Have a look
and let us know what you think.

Kind Regards
Trevor and John
