Tide times for the following week can be found at:
http://www.ntf.flinders.edu.au/TEXT/TIDES/tides.html
For past/future tide times, I use and recommend the
following free programs:
* Tidetool for Palm PDAs (palmtop computers):
http://www.toolworks.com/bilofsky/tidetool.htm
* XTide for Unix/Linux:
http://www.flaterco.com/xtide/
XTide has also been ported to Windows and Macintosh
computers, but I have not tried these versions.
In my experience, the difference in times from these
programs and those published in local newspapers
(e.g. the Herald-Sun in Melbourne) is the order of
several minutes; for birding, they are perfectly
adequate.
