Hi fellow posters.
A friend of mine has a regular nighttime visitor to
his back yard in Epping - a middle distance suburb in
Sydney. Its an owl, but although it comes every night
it doesnt usually stay long enough for a positive
identification. Its either a barn owl or a masked owl.
We would like to know, on the balance of probability,
which is it more likely to be.
Also, is there a really reliable field mark that can
be used to distinguish these two - they look pretty
much the same in the books.
thanks heaps
Arron Davies
