Hi all, On Wednesday afternoon at about 2:15 pm. Judi and I stopped briefly at Stockton Bridge. In front of the bird hide was a group of at least 300 Red-necked Avocets, together with a few over wintering Bar-tailed Godwits and Eastern Curlews. At Soldiers Point, south of Nora Head, 2 Ruddy Turnstones, 2 Red-necked Stints, and 2 Double-banded Plovers were feeding on the rocks with a White-fronted Tern circling close by and great views of numerous Humpback Whales travelling north. Cheers Neil Russill Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
