A reminder that tomorrow July 1 is the 100th birthday of the RAOU/Birds Australia. Help us celebrate in three ways tomorrow:

1 All Atlassers have been asked to do at least one survey tomorrow - up to 8000! A great snapshot of our birds.

2 Sending in a list of all the birds you see tomorrow will earn sponsorship up to $1000 for HANZAB and endangered species. (The VicGroup will give $2 a species seen by someone and $5 if it's in the Action Plan for Endangered Birds. The sposorship is per species not per sighting.) Obviously to earn the full $1000 we need coverage Australia-wide.
Send your list in to
All Atlas sheets for July 1 will be included.

3 the person or team seeing most birds on July 1 will get a prize given by Andrew Isles Natural History Books.

There's a special prize for the child under 11 who sees most birds on the day.

You don't have to be a member of Birds Australia to take part (but I hope you are!)
You are welcome to solicit extra sponsorship from friends or family

Full details in the June Wingspam and on the BA webpage www.birdsaustralia.com.au

Thanks and enjoy the day
