Hi Folks,
Many of you know of my involvement with the
analysis and write up of reports about birds'
reactions to the Total Solar Eclipse in Victoria in 1976 (Aust Bird Watcher
9(6): 179-209, June 1982. Southern Africa had a similar event on Friday
22-6-2001. I sent a message about this to the African equivalent to birding-aus
and have already had several replies. The bird
reaction to Total Solar Eclipse in Africa was apparently similar to what
happened in ours. If anyone out there is interested, let me know and I'll try
and keep you posted.
