While releasing the grebe the other day (6 June, previous email) I saw a Whistling Kite at Banyule Flat, harried by two Little Ravens. This is the first I've seen at this spot. The species used to occur regularly in parts of Melbourne but seems to have been rare for many years. Cheers, Richard.
