Interesting thread on wind generators.

I nearly asked this question some months ago
but as the thread has come up again, now is an
appropriate time.

Most of the discussion and reports quoted
deal with the larger "wind farm" generators
like those at Blayney in NSW.
( a very impressive sight if you've never seen them)

Has anyone read anything or had experience with
the smaller "home style" generators
and possible bird strike problems. ??

I'm not seriously pursuing this at this point
( don't panic Mr Geering, there will be no sliced
and diced Regents at Capertee )
but interested to know more.

The smaller wind generators seem on paper
to provide an excellent cost effective
remote area power source.
About $1200 for a possible 400-600 watts
compared to 120 watts from Solar panels for about
the same price.
