Those of you with an interest in international research into habitat
fragmentation might be interested in this 1999 "reprint" from
Conservation Biology [it's a scanned doc and the print quality isn't
crash hot].

Local extinctions of terrestrial insectivorous birds in a fragmented
landscape near Manaus, Brazil

[It's an item that might resonate with those concerned with the
disappearance of woodland birds].
