Sorry friends if I'm overloading your inboxes, but you must see this. I copied
Andrew Taylor's message on bird codes to John Shipman at the New Mexico
Institute of Mining and
Technology in Socorro, New Mexico. It included the names of some Australian
bird species. Here is the error msg I received in response:

Looking at the rejected message, I think I can ascertain what upset that
oh-so-prudish American computer. It included such offensive terms as 'bush',
'breasted' and 'bellied'.
Even 'bird'! What about 'log-runner': sound kinky, eh? Though just where the
'teenage' part enters the discussion I cannot tell!
