It came as in insert in today's paper, this insult to the Anatidae, dreamed up by one of those parasites on humanity's backside, an advertising agency: An originally pleasant photo of a duck and six ducklings, striding across stony ground, but the ducklings have been fitted out with flotation devices. As if every duckling hatched isn't as buoyant as a piece of cork! As it advertises a cable internet provider, no doubt it has been widely distributed throughout Australia, so can anyone who chances upon it, tell me what species is the duck, and why are two of the ducklings much darker than their siblings?
