Is this a message from heaven or what? Four letter words to describe bird banding? That shouldn't be too hard. Now let's see!

Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] Four letter codes for Oz birds??

I have been loooking at streamlining my atlasing data
while in the field using a PDA with data entry via
some sort of bird code to cut down on the amount of
writing.
I have been doing a bit research and found some 4
letter banding codes for US birds and was wondering if
there has been a similar system developed for oz
birds.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
