Dear Birding-Aussers It is a magnificent May evening on the Gold Coast with the time at 9.00 pm.. On my way home from dinner I have just driven along the edge of the Broadwater. The tide is high, the water is absolutely still, the reflection of the lights from the high rises in Surfers Paradise is mingling with the lights of the many boats at anchor and in the middle of all of this is a lone Pelican gliding serenely across the water. All is well with the world when you can watch birds on such a wonderful evening. Cheers to all Terry Pacey Gold Coast SE Qld Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
