Hi folks I defer to those with longer and more extensive knowledge of SE Qld but I think that Blue-winged Kookas are very patchy in this area. I know of a breeding record in the Lockyer Valley near Lake Clarendon in recent years. I have also seen a pair on powerlines on the southern approaches to Monto (Burnett Highway) on two occasions. -- +----------------------------------------+ Richard Johnson Habitat Case Studies Project Officer Qld Parks & Wildlife Service Southwest District Tel: (07) 4622 4266 Fax: (07) 46 22 4151 E-mail: Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
