G'day all First return of Cattle Egrets to Hamilton (sw Victoria) yesterday. I've recorded the arrival date in 14 of the last 16 years and the average is 1st April so they are right on time. The good recent rain down this way is greening up the paddocks but most of the wetlands are still quite dry.
