Hi all, Dropped into the Point Cook bird hide today - and came across a flock of 10 Crested Pigeon near the car park at the bird hide. This is easily the farthest south I've seen them - what is the status of CP in the Geelong district? There were also a couple of Pink Eared Duck. Not much else apart from an abundance of Grey Teal, Black Duck, Mountain Duck, and Hoary-headed Grebe. With all the recent rain there's a lot of water about which has dispersed a lot of the waders, waterfowl etc. The environmental context of Point Cook contrasted sharply with my last visit in January.
