Dear all This thread made me check my bird books to see which mention the orange belly on some Turquoise Parrots and Blue-winged Parrots, both of which might be confused with Orange-bellied Parrots. >From my editions we get the following mentions of orange bellies: Blue-winged Turquoise Morecambe No mention old either sex may Simpson&Day (5) male may have male may have Pizzey&Knight male may have old either sex may Slater "other grass parrots show orange" Schodde&Tidemann No mention No mention I think Pizzey and Knight is the only one to say the orange belly may not be visible on Orange-bellied Parrots.
