Dear all,
Various animal welfare groups are pursuing that
possibility whilst planning to disrupt the gassing of
the bats.

To this I ask:

Dear Mike and all,
Some OH&S peoples and trade unionists are very
interested to know which gas is planned to be used?
and exactly what protection will be given to the
general populace re: the transport and carriage of
this gas and it's use etc., etc., etc., I sincerely
hope the gas planned to be used is not what I greatly
fear.

I hope they will also enquire about the possibility of
judicial review, a method of protecting the community
from the unjustified use of discretion by ministers
and
officials. The Minister's decision could be an
unfortunate precedent for not listing other species
where the status is insufficiently known.
