Apparently "Kym Bennet" is now able to read Birding-Aus as well as to contribute (s/he previously had difficulty - check the archive). S/he has no authority or knowledge to back up that remark about the UN intergovernmental panel on climate change and bicycles. (http://www.ipcc.ch/ ) A real tragedy is that few living politicians will see much benefit from reducing greenhouse emissions. Our current duty is to ensure that things are not far worse in the future.
