Hello birdlovers... Lorne here... You may or may not know that some of the Simpson Desert, about 50km west of Birdsville, is flooded!!!!! According to a researcher from the Arid Flow Project, who was being interview on Sydney's radio station 2BL this morning, there are between 2-3 million waterbirds currently there. This was incredibly important breeding wise. Another woman, who was interviewed at the Simpson site, said she'd had a small party of Eyrean Grasswrens there recently. Peace, LGJ.
