While birding yesterday with Dean Portelli around Perth we found that the
male Freckled Duck is still in the south west corner of Herdsman Lake. It
was first reported by Rob Davis in early January. A Freckled Duck was at
the same location last year until about late May, so hopefully it will stay
around.
We found about 80 plus species for the day. The other better sightings for
Perth were :
Two Red-eared Firetails and several Red-winged Fairy-wrens at the lawn area
of Wungong Gorge.
A pair of Western Yellow Robins at Bungendore State Forest.
A Spotless Crake at Kogolup Swamp.
A Wedge-tailed Eagle at Bibra Lake.
