Mike, why I don't count the Crow in Oz is because....  I've only seen it in Asia.
Perhaps you count the Crow mostly because it's one more toward your goal.  However, in this instance I agree, as argued recently on b~aus in the context of various similar records of gulls, wagtails and others.
Even so, this is tantamount to opening Pandora's Box because a lot of Asian birds will eventually be recorded here as valid additions if we disregard the likelihood of them being sustained by humans en route
In fact I can see birders worldwide following the shipping forecasts and port arrival schedules to increase their lists.  This will be a modern variant of seawatching.
