A fairly quiet day with highlights being two Long-tailed Jaegers, at least
six Sooty Terns and a small pod (4-6) of Short-finned Pilot Whales
(identification based on warm water temperatures not on any views of the
pectoral fin). Hal caught a marvellous looking Mahi Mahi (also called
Dolphin Fish). Plenty of birds around most of the day but no major
rarities. Seas on a one metre swell. Generally overcast with light to
moderate winds.

Great-winged Petrel (20) all gouldi
Wedge-tailed Shearwater (300 plus)
Flesh-footed Shearwater (100)
Hutton's Shearwater (1)
Short-tailed Shearwater (2)

Long-tailed Jaeger (2)
Pomarine Jaeger (5)
Arctic Jaeger (3)

Sooty Tern (6-4 adults, 2 juveniles)
Common Tern (30-in harbour)

Common Dolphin (10)
Short-finned Pilot Whale (4-6)

Good birding

Dion
