G'day all

My two cents worth on the protocol for controversial debates on birding-aus:-

As long as people stay polite, argue with facts and are open to others points of
view, debates such as we have had recently are valuable, interesting and
relevant to the purposes of the group.

Unfortunately a few people insist on getting emotional, illogical, intolerant
and abusive. Sometimes they probably don't realise it themselves.

If you ever take personal offense at what someone has said please contact the
person directly. If I want to see the sort of argy-bargy that has been aired on
birding-aus of late I will watch professional wrestling.

It was most refreshing to log in this morning and read of the birds of
Cunnamulla, Qld. If we tried we could all post similar reports on our local
patches. I'll give it a go later today.

Cheers

Steve

(please note I have not expressed any opinions on banding, netting, canons or
House Crows)
