Pectoral Sandpiper, Bendigo

G,day birders,

A couple of weeks ago, I reported a Pectoral Sandpiper at the
Woodvale Evaporation Pond complex, north of Bendigo, central
Victoria.  The bird (single) was still there last Saturday morning,
feeding with a small group of Sharp-tailed SP and Red-kneed
Dotterels.  In total, there were about 20 Sharpies, 6
Marsh SP, numerous Black-winged Stilt, Black-fronted Plover,
Red-kneed Dotterel, Red-capped Plover and Red-necked Avocet
(the latter with recently fledged and very cute young), and, for the
first time I have seen in the Bendigo district, Red-necked Stint
(6 individuals).  Also, a nice little flock of Zebra Finches,
amongst other things.  A fantastic birding spot.

complex proprietors (Bendigo Mining N/L) first.  I may be able to
