Hi to all, While checking out a Sibley-Monroe Birds of the World list I came across Crested Pigeon for which they give the Latin name Geophaps lophotes, on checking my P&K and Morcombe I found that they have it listed under Ocyphaps lophotes. Also Simpson & Day (fifth edition) have a punt each way by designating the Crested Pigeon as Ocyphaps(Geophaps) lophotes. Could anyone tell me the reason for this?
