Hi
Alan,
As a
one time Englishman who has been in Sydney for around 30 years, I had never seen
a European Blackbird in Suburban Sydney until I moved to Penrith two years ago.
I have a shrub in my garden with large berries, and have had 3 males and 7
females here at one time feeding. I now have a pair who have apparently
been breeding near here as they turned up with a couple of immature females
recently.
I have
also seen Blackbirds in several locations around Penrith and Emu
Plains.
Mike.
