I have recently moved back to QLD after 8 years in NSW/NZ/VIC. I was delighted to spot this afternoon, in a Eucalypt tree in a vacant lot to the rear of my townhouse in Fitzgibbon (a Brisbane suburb), a pair of Pale-headed Rosellas. What was especially interesting was that one of the pair was not the normal colour, but was almost entirely yellow except for some dark patches on the wings. Noticeably absent was any hint of red on the ventral area- the bird was facing away from me, so this was quite obvious. I have termed it Lutino as it reminded me of the Lutino Cockatiels that are found in pet stores. I make to claim to any particular genetic expertise.
