Hi everyone.

Some weeks ago when Sydney was having a wet spell I sat down and made a list
of birds I have seen in our northern beaches area, from Manly to Palm Beach
peninsula and from the coast to several K. inland [Mona Vale Rd. being the
most westerly aspect.]
It did not take long as I already have lists for Narrabeen Lagoon, Dee Why
Lagoon, Long Reef, Warriwood Wetland and Red Hill. All places I visit
frequently. It came to 201 species plus a couple of escapees.

The point of all of this is not so much the birds on the list, but the birds
missing from the list, or infrequently seen in the area:- Scaly-breasted
Lorikeet [seen only once at Careel Bay yet mentioned in Peter Robert's
book.]
Common Blackbird,
Crested Shrike-tit and I am sure others.
If anyone have records of those 3 species for the northern beaches could
they send me an e-mail.

All these lists are written in M/S word, if anyone would like copies or an
individual copy I can e-mail them privately.

Bruce.
