Try going to your local chemist and purchasing a small
amount of pure glycerine, tell the chemist what you
want it for. Strip down the binoculars and apply a
coating to the inside and outside of the lens? this
will stop condesate reforming. Make sure all mud is
removed with just a small amount of clean clear
moisture allowed inside the binocular frames before
applying the glycerine, and olde UK Army trick that
works well when your out hunting for cricket playing

It doesn't matter what sort of binoculars you buy or
use it's up to the eyesight of an individual and the
hip pocket eye nerve attachment, I say.

Unfortunately it was quite muddy water. Now I've got
patches of film between both prisms - presumably
sediment or could it be oil from the threads of the
lenses?? I've rinsed them with water, shellite and
metho at various times to no avail - the film seems to
stay- just keeps moving around.

Has anyone any idea what to clean binoculars
succesfully with?? We are going to Tasmania over
christmas - can anyone recommend some good birding
places??
